First unveiled at the 2012 Resource Waste Management show at Birmingham's NEC, the 4CX Wastemaster from JCB has been specifically designed to handle the tough conditions – its innovative technology and up-to-the-minute features allowing it to excel in arduous work environments like household waste recycling centres, helping to revolutionise the waste and recycling industry.
Compact waste material with ease
Capable of accepting a wide range of specialist attachments, this backhoe loader is equipped with additional length rear stabilisers and a front frame featuring hydraulic legs. Working in harmony, these features allow the 4CXWM to safely operate high off the ground, simplifying the task of compacting material in a container using a grapple or compaction wheel attachment. The raised ride height also ensures exceptional visibility from the vehicle's cab.
Fast and efficient
Powering the 4CX Wastemaster is a 100hp (74.2 kW) JCB Dieselmax engine. This exceptional powertrain not only allows the backhoe loader to perform to a high level during everyday operations, the engine's fuel-efficient nature guarantees savings while travelling between sites.
Wide selection of attachments
Another reason the 4CXWM is so well suited to waste environments is its adaptability. A wide selection of unique attachments is available for the model, ranging from grabs designed to handle waste material, through to hooks for lifting and repositioning waste bins. Also available is a sweeper collector attachment that can be used to keep a site tidy and safe.
Anyone operating the 4CXWM will be afforded excellent visibility when the machine is raised off the ground, and convex mirrors also help the operator to remain fully aware of their environment. High visibility stabiliser chevrons, a rotating beacon and a reversing alarm also feature in order to alert other workers to the machine's presence.
